Come write with me

Co-writing is back for a bit

Hello there,

I hope you are keeping well. I’m just emerging from a few weeks filled to the brim with workshops and work, grateful that I have had these opportunities and that I get to hear the words of others come alive on the page and their confidence grow. More on that and what it has meant to me soon… In the meantime, I just wanted to stop by to share a few things…

I’ll be back running co-writing again from tomorrow and there’s also a little reminder about the creative writing competition that I am delighted to be judging and news of some other workshops taking place over the summer.

It would be so lovely to write with you soon.

Thank you so much for reading.

Co-writing is back

Come write with me over the coming weeks!

What to expect

The sessions will last approximately one hour and fifteen minutes with a moment to pause and ground ourselves at the beginning and time at the end to have a little catch up (should you wish).

You don’t have to talk, you don’t have to bring anything specific to work on (I'll share a prompt in the chat), you don’t have to have your camera on, the whole idea is just showing up and spending some time with your words in the company of others.

Dates and times

These sessions will be free and will take place at the following times and dates on zoom using the links below:

Monday lunchtimes | 13:00 - 14:15 UK time (BST)

Monday 23rd and 30th June

Monday 7th and 14th July

Wednesday mornings | 9:15 - 10:30 UK time (BST)

Wednesday 25th June

Wednesday 9th July

If you want a little nudge to remember on the day and I can send you a reminder, please email me.

The Power of (500) Words: Flourish! Competition

I’m over the moon to be a judge on the Nansledan Arts Festival 500 words writing competition. The deadline is this week!

Head to their website to find out more.

Poetry Summer School

I am so very excited to be co-facilitating this very special one-off series of workshops with Ovyuki and the Togetherness Poetry Challenge.

The Poetry Summer School for Mums is a welcoming, online workshop series designed especially for mums who are looking to reconnect with themselves and others through creative writing.

Join a community of mothers from a wide range of life experiences to explore the beauty and struggle of motherhood through poetry, and write a poem to submit to the 2025 Togetherness Poetry Challenge, guided by facilitators Ovyuki and I.

Creative Writing Workshops at Botelet

Join me at Botelet during the summer holidays for a series of one-off workshops. Botelet is a beautiful hidden gem, not far from Fowey, that has been farmed and tended to by the Tamblyn family for 150 years.

With an array of accommodation options and 300 acres of tumbling hills and enchanting woodlands, I am so very excited to run these special workshops in August.

Whether you have some experience writing, are interested in stories and storytelling or whether you just want to try something new, each session will be welcoming and encouraging but most of all fun!

Suitable for all ages and open to all, these family-friendly workshops will include exercises for everyone with a craft-based activity for smaller ones as well.

All materials, resources and a drink will be provided.

Wednesday 20th August | Open the door | 9:30 – 11:00

Thursday 28th August | Sun Stories | 9:30 – 11:00

Thank you so much for reading.
